RELIVE THE GOLDEN ERA OF 1970s TECH
In the late 1960s, Daniel E. Meyer founded what would become Southwest Technical Products in San Antonio, Texas. Initially producing kits for various electronics projects published in magazines and the like, Southwest, or SWTPC, began producing electronics products of their own. Amplifiers, psychadelic light kits, and eventually computer equipment. The company was passionate about supporting hobbyists, with a mandate from Daniel Meyer himself to keep things simple and DIYer-friendly. The company closed in 1993 due to changing markets, but its legacy lives on. This website is a tribute to a true electronics pioneer.
