SWTPC is back! (kinda)

Some years ago a very respected hobbyist and former SWTPC customer named Michael Holley set up a webpage dedicated to Southwest Technical Products, a former San Antonio, Texas tech company that started out making kits for authors of electronics projects, culminating in computers and finally point of sale devices, before closing in 1993. SWTPC was known for producing good quality and innovative electronics gear with the hobbyist in mind, and Michael's page dedicated to them was a valued resource for modern day collectors and hobbyists.
Sadly, the domain registration for SWTPC.COM expired several years ago, and Michael was not able to renew it. It was quickly purchased by someone else. After observing that the new owner was not intending to actively use it, some attempts were made at trying to negotiate a transfer back, but the price the new owner wanted was prohibitive. I decided it might be an appropriate tribute to both SWTPC and Michael, who sadly passed away in April of 2025, to bring a new, updated site to life, both as a tribute to the legendary company as well as to provide a home for future projects, including some I plan to offer to hobbyists. So I registered swtpc.net and set up shop here!
This site will be mostly but not exclusively about Southwest. I plan to gather other important historical computing documents here from other companies and provide access to various projects I've been working on, hopefully in much the same spirit as the former company.
There's going to be a lot of construction going on here so please forgive the mess, or if you see any ads for vintage SWTPC pottery (SWTPC never made pottery). Websites are a lot of work! :)

Thanks so much!
